Social Media Activation

The same tappit technology that enables payments can also be used to activate social media accounts opening up a raft of brand activation ideas. It’s a great way to get visitors interacting with your social media channels but it’s also a great way to add value you for your sponsors and partners.

Registering your visitors

Linking your visitor’s tappit device to their social media profile opens brand activation possibilities for your venue and its sponsors.

You can link the profiles at various stages throughout the experience:

Pre-registration

At purchase

Attendee registers wristband with name and email address (prefilled) and links to Facebook / Twitter account (incentivised) during the ticket purchase process.

Post-purchase

Attendee receives confirmation email with link to register wristband (incentivised) and registers wristband with name and email address (prefilled) and links to Facebook / Twitter account.

On-site Registration

Laptop (static station)
  • Attendee takes wristband to registration station
  • Staff member fills in registration form and links band
  • Attendee logs into Facebook / Twitter for security purposes
Tablet (roaming)
  • Attendee is approached by roaming registration staff with tablet and wristband scanner
  • Staff member fills in registration form and links band
  • Attendee logs into Facebook / Twitter for security purposes
Scan QR Code (Twitter / Facebook Messenger)
  • Static posts at event have QR codes printed on them for Twitter and Facebook Messenger
  • Attendee scans QR code to follow on Twitter or link on Facebook Messenger
Bespoke App
  • Bespoke App can be created for event enabling easy link of wristband to social profiles

Activating social media

There are many ways to make the most of your social platforms. Each of these ideas can be utilised for brand amplification by event organiser or sponsors eg Photo Spot could be in front of a branded background or brand can automatically appear as part of the photo template. Each activity increases data awareness but can also activate contact between sponsors and attendees.

 

  • Select registered user for spot prize. Auto-posted to Facebook
  • Photo spots – users are photographed at a specific activity / location and photo auto-posted to Facebook tagging the relevant attendee
  • Activities – Skill based games can be scored and the score auto-posted to relevant social platform. Overall records can be hosted online and shared.
  • Check-in entry – check in at a specific attraction to enter spot-prize draw
  • Roaming photographers for generic event photos
