While fans at other clubs are still carrying cash and fumbling for change, Birmingham City FC is proud to introduce Blues Fastpay as we become one of the country’s first cashless clubs.
Our new cashless payments system means shorter queues and quicker transactions, giving you more time to enjoy the action. Simply top up your cashless card with credit and use it to make purchases at the club shop or any of our club kiosks.
Here’s what you need to know to get the most of your Birmingham City FC season ticket and the cashless experience.
How to get your Birmingham City FC cashless card
Season ticket holders: Your season tickets are cashless cards. Season ticket holders can have their cards mailed to them or choose to pick them up from the stadium.
Matchday ticket holders: Your matchday ticket is also a cashless card. Please ensure you keep your ticket for the whole season – future ticket purchases will be added to your matchday cashless card.
How to top up
You can top up in person at the Ticket Office, Blues Store, or at any of the top up points located around St. Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium on a matchday.
You can also top up your funds online from the comfort of your home, or on the go. Visit Blues Fastpay, log into your Fastpay account and select 'Top-Up'. Once you have completed your payment, you will receive a QR code via email. To activate the funds on your cashless card, please present your QR code to any kiosk, fan bar or cashless point at the ground.
How to pay
Your Blues Fastpay cashless card is accepted at all areas throughout the St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium, including the Blues Store, fan bars, and concourse kiosks.
Separate queueing lanes will be in place in some of these areas to give priority to Blues Fastpay users and speed up the payment process.
Simply hand over your card when you want to pay and you’ll be back in your seat before you know it.
What if I want to claim back my money?
Any funds will need to be withdrawn online through the portal where you will need to register your Blues Fastpay card. Once registered, you can enable the online cash-out function, and your funds will be deposited back to you within 5-7 working days.
Any funds left on your Fastpay account at the end of each season are wiped so please ensure you have withdrawn your funds before May 31.
What if I lose my card?
If you lose your season ticket or match ticket then you will need to visit the Ticket Office and pay a £20 administration fee for a new card to be issued. If you have registered your card on the online portal, any outstanding cashless balance can be transferred to your new card. If your card isn’t registered we will not be able to transfer a balance.
Is cash still accepted?
You will still be able to pay by cash in most outlets but expect longer queues. We aim to phase out the use of cash throughout the season so everyone benefits from quicker transactions.
Can I transfer my money to someone else’s card?
Yes, your credit is transferable.
How long is the card valid for?
Cards will be valid for the 2018-19 season until May 31, 2019. Your balance will be wiped on this date unless you have withdrawn any remaining funds via the online portal.
I’m visiting for an away game. Can I use the cashless system?
Birmingham City FC’s cashless solution is currently available for home fans only.
